My Lanos had the same problem but it was not the clutch

my Lanos had the same problem but it was not the clutch< the shift arm shaft twisted at a weak weld due to fatigue and as a result the fork wouldn't push the release bearing far enough to disengage the clutch. the fix was to take the shift arm out, heat the weld point, reposition the arm relative to the shaft to increase the fork travel and re-weld to secure position, it works great now. This from what i hear is a vexing problem because the part doesn't look like it has twisted; but trust me it has. The weld cracks internally and the shaft moves to the next friction point that makes it look solid but really isn't. You will see this when you take the part out and heat it, it will move easily. My mechanic is a genius for figuring this out.

Daewoo lanos 1999 manual

I recently had a problem bleeding a slave cylinder. Took many tries, finally had a helper stab the pedal down a few times until fluid spurted out the bleed hole. once I got a good flow out the bleeder, the clutch started working.
You have all new parts, so it should be working. Are you certain it was put in the correct direction (the clutch disc, I mean)? And do you see a good flow from the bleeder? Watch the pin on the slave where it comes out to move the clutch lever. When the clutch is depressed, the lever should move a small but significant amount.

I am about to replace the clutch slave cylinder with anew one please provide the procedure and include the hydraulic bleeding procedure

use a bar to hold slave cylinder arm in towards the slave ,then open bleed and assistant pushes down ,then colse nipple and repeat till teh bar is being pushed against your pressure ,that should do it then leave a brick on the master pedal overnight so any air thats left will rise to the and through the master ,it will be perfect then

The clutch pedal is rock hard won't go in too gear checked the clutch master cylinder and thats ok, so do you know what the problem is.

Possible solution! Daewoo Lanos 98-99
Had the same problem suddenly the clutch pedal went rock hard!
The clutch was around 3 months old.
Mechanic checked - Master, Slave, Clutch Components, and inside the box, all looked okay.
Turned out the top arm of the clutch pivot rod had twisted, replaced pivot rod around AU$100.
Fixed Problem!

New slave and master for clutch still will not engage did bleed

If all the air is out of the clutch system than you probably have badly worn fingers on you clutch plate and it should be replaced as an assembly, clutch disk, clutch plate(pressure plate) and throwout bearing. Thank you, Dana

Clutch pedal stays 2 the floor on a hydralic clutch system on a 2000 camaro v8. clutch master cylinder is new also slave cylinder and clutch and pressure plate

Did you bleed the system? When you replace the the master and/or slave cylinder you have to bleed the system just as you would with brakes. There is a bleed screw on the slave cylinder. Open the bleed screw, have a helper depress and hold the clutch pedal down.Tighten the bleed screw, then release clutch. Repeat this procedure until you have removed all air from the system and the clutch pedal is firm. Keep an eye on the fluid level to avoid sucking air into the system. If you have done this, remember there is a possibility that the master or slave cylinder is defective.
