Did you check that the gas tank is properly sealed? If air is getting into the gas tank i.e. a leak in gas, air comes in if gas is low. then your truck with idle bad.

My 2009 4 cylinder pontiac g6 lacks power when pedal is pushed hard.

That could be a few things first try spare plugs and or wires crank it up pull one plug at a time off while the vehicle is running u might won't to wear rubber gloves while doing this if motor don't bog down you have a bad plug or wire if that dont fix it might even be a fuelfilter after that go to parts store ask them to run a diagnosis test it's free start with least expensive things first
fuel pump might even be starting to go bad

What causes loss of excelleration while driving

It sounds like either your fuel pump has quit or your fuel filter is badly plugged. If you crank it for a while and do not smell gasoline back at the exhaust, your fuel pump has probably quit.

1991 f150 idles rough but when u give it gas it gets better

Here are a few things that might help.
1. Check your spark plugs. make sure the gap is right and they are not worn out.
2. Check your distributor cap and rotor for build up on the contacts.
3. Check your spark plug wires, make sure they are on the distributor and spark plug tightly. also check them for damage ie. heat, knicks, scrapes, etc.
4. intake idle control valve. these do cause your symptoms and are easy to replace.

hope this helps ~ Zach

Engine runs smooth at idle vibrates when you put in gear and gets worse when ac turns on goes away when you raise the idle a little drives fine already had motor mounts checked

That sort of misfire is typical of ignition problems. Start by checking the condition of the plugs, then the wires, then rotor, and finally the distributor cap. Have in mind that a particularly black, oily spark plug doesnt necessarily means that it is shot, but also it could mean that the cable leading to it, or the corresponding contact at the distributor cap is not doing its job.

Stalls when excellerating

i would do a few things here, simply spend $8 on some injector cleaner to break down carbon deposits, then try replacing the fuel filter, lastly, get the timing checked, plug gaps {new plugs} clean oxygen sensor in exhaust then lastly get the fuel pump pressure checked at a mechanics, all in that order untill it works, Good luck

When i first start the vehicle it idles rough like it is going to quit running. After a short acceleration - maybe through a parking lot it runs smoothly. AC running when this happens. Any solutions?

Try giving it a full tune-up before you try any further (and more expensive) trouble-shooting.

Replace the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, air filter (very important), possibly the coil (pricey), and try a bottle of fuel injector cleaner.

If these fail to smooth your idle, then you want to look to the more expensive solutions.

I hope this helps.

Rough idle

Possible water in distributor cap or water in secondary ignition system (spark plug wire, coil, spark plug porcelain cracked).
