06 Kia sorento will crank run for about a minute then die. the other day it ran for an entire day then started doing the same thing. Mechanic says that the timing belt has to be replaced. The code read "crankshaft sensor ran high". What does that mean??

You have P0343 Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit High Input.
Just have the Crank Posistion Sensor replaced, that fixes the problem most of the time. If the car is over the timing belt replacement mileage suggested by manufacturer, then the timing belt must also be replaced.

2003 kia sorento died. Codes are Po700,Po335, and Po727

be careful on this one. 700 means a transaxle, not sure if its stopped signal or something else. 335 is the crank sensor, i wonder if you have a timing belt that has come or or somethin like that. dont crank the engine until you can get someone to check some things.

My 2003 Sorento will randomly hit a pothole and die. After waiting 2 minutes on the side of the road it restarts with no problem. Mechanic here says "replace" the turbo. What does that mean and where do...

I dont think it will be a turbo fault, the car would still run and you would really know if the turbo had gone.

sounds like a crankshaft sensor problem. if not could also be a mass air flow sensor

My 2005 Kia Sorento is running hot I have no idea why.

did you check the coolant level? , is a good place to start, a low coolant will make the car running hot, also check if the radiator fans are runing when the car reach the normal temperature, usually in the middle of the gauge..other than , I recommend you to take it to your mechanic to be checked for leaks in case is loosing coolant
