I have an 05 Kia sorento. It is showing signs of over heating, I checked fluids changed coolant and there are no leaks. Thermostat only goes to the middle.

Generally and engine heats up a little more when you shut off engine and it may be boiling out into over flow tanks as vapor (no leak) when it makes that sound. A overheated engine feels very hot when you open the hood, gauge works but maybe not accurately.

On a 05 kia sorento water in gas tank removed it and fuel pump got all water out poured 1and a half gallon of gas back in tank and the kia sorento still want crank what do i do next

when you say crank do you mean the starter won't turn the engine over-can you hear the fuel pump run when you turn the key on-you might want to dump a bottle of heat gas line antifreeze in to absorb any water left in fuel system-cheers Denny

Gas light is stuck on and shows empy, even though there is a 1/2 tank of gas.

You need to replace the fuel level sensor that is parted with your fuel pump assembly. Before assuming this, we want to make sure fuel sensor connection is fully connected and seated. You can locate the fuel pump via the rear left passenger seat. You need to pull back the backseat, and there is a sqaure carpet panel, open this... and you will be able to see some wiring that goes into a cap. Check these wiring if there is any dirt, corrosion or maybe loosen. If everything seems fine, then definitly your fuel level sensor needs to be replaced, It either stuck at the half tank indiactor, or damaged. For a 05 sorento, If you decide you want to replace this, I recommend you to change the entire unit, about 250.00+ for a new unit includes the (fuel filter, pump, and level indicator). If you need direction or help installing it, I would be gladly to help.

I got a code P0773 SCSUE on an 05 Kia Sorento I'm thinking of buying. Supposedly it's Red Solenoid electrical. Could anyone expound on whether or not this will be a potential problem.

This error is for shift solenoid, most likely wiring problem or solenoid itself. it should not be a big problem after checking the wire, plug and solenoid itself, replace it if needed to.

Timing belt change for kea sorento

Hi, best way to do this, is take it to a mechanic. There is to much drama if you do it yourself. I had mine changed when I bought my 05 sorento 6 mths ago. Will prob cost around $500

My '05 Kia Sorento is overheating during this this hot days!!!!

Check fluid levels, make sure radiator cap is on tight, checks hoses to assure all good. And keep in mind, although new thermostat, it could still be faulty. (not likely, but a thought).

2004 KIA Sorento, heater problems

Hi. I just had the same problem after I took my 05 sorento in for service. I called the shop back and they told me the system had to be burped after the coolant level gets low( they neglected to refill my system at the dealership also). To do this you must fill the coolant tank to the proper level, park the vehicle on an incline(with the front of the vehicle being highest), and allow vehicle to heat up with the heat on. it worked for my 05.
