The headlights went out on my 2005 kia optima. I bought new bulbs, and replaced the old ones, and they still didn't work. I then switched out fuses in both the interior fuse box, and in the engine box, and it still didn't work.

had to replace a few headlights on my optima also, i spoke to a few people who own kia's and it seams to be a problem most of us have, and if one goes, it wont be long until the other one follows, make sure you use kia bulbs for replacement, i tried other bulbs and they dont always give off the proper amount of light.
I have a 2005 Lexus Rx330 with HID AFS headlight. My passenger side light went out. I thought the bulb burnt out, so I bought a new bulb. After replacing the new bulb, it happened exactly like my old bulb. It light up lightly and then total black out. What's wrong with it? I thought the ballast burnt. I called Lexus dealer and asked for the new ballast/transformer. Surprised me, they don't know what is it. They told me they only know the wiring harness and the socket, but not the ballast ??????? Could you tell me what do I need to replace?
No tools on the left side but on the other side with the battery.
You will need to take out the battery.
Just screw the cap off inside which is behind the headlight.
There is a clip in there.
Just un-clip it . It is a clip that attached underneath after when you take the clip off.
Remember how you un-clip it !!!
That way when you clip it back in , it will be alot EASIER !!!
Check the low beam relay . Look here for location http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model and engine size. Under system click on electrical distribution , then under subsystem click on relay . Click the search button then the blue link . Look at left side near the bottom ,HEAD LP LO . Right above #5 and #4 fuse's . Do you know how to test at relay base ,that's where it plugs into. Watch this video . VEHICLE RELAYS Operation Diagnosis
