How do i change the heater core

THIS IS A VERY INVOLVED JOB. THE HEATER CORE IS IN THE EVAPORATOR CASE INSIDE THE DASH ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. TO ACCESS THIS CORE YOU MUST REMOVE THE GLOVEBOX AND ITS. LINER. REMOVE THE PASSENGER AIRBAG AND DISMANTLE THE EVAPORATOR HOUSING. REMOVE THE HEATER HOSES FROM THE FIREWALL UNDER THE HOOD AND THE BLOWER MOTOR.

Heater is not getting hot whats the problem

thermostat could be bad, heater core could be bad, blower motor could be bad. See if the blower motor turns on (passenger side under the dash). if it does then i would replace the thermostat. depending on how old the vehicle is you may want to have it flushed, something could be backed up. the last resort is the heater core because that is really involved and timely. it involves (in most cars) taking the entire dashboard out. for a feel, years ago it took me around 8 hrs just to get the the heater core in my chevy beretta. good luck

How do I change the heater core in a 2002 chevy trailblazer?

heater core in trailblazer is a very complicated procedure. It involves disabling the air bag system and removing the entire dash (actually tilting it back against seat) to access the heater core box. It also involves removing some parts under the hood to release it from the firewall.

Heater blower motor repair need to know how to repair or troubleshoot heater core works but doesnt blow heat into car

First check all your fuses. If you have power to the blower motor and it is not working then you are probably going to have pull the blower motor. This usually involves pulling a large portion of the dash. I recommend you buy a Haynes manual from autozone (approximately $20) for guidance.

The process is a little involved. Try going to Autozone.com and see if they have a repair guide online to look at the process.

Hope this helps...

Where is the heater core located in a chrysler New Yorker?

Definitely not a do-it-yourself project. It involves discharging the air conditioning system and pulling the steering column and dashboard.

Hope helped.

Yes I know how to replace the evaporator core. It involves getting into the passenger side dash because it is pretty much where the heater core is for the heating system
