Using a test light connected to negative or ground, check all the fuses on both sides with the ignition key in the 'On' position. A bad fuse will only light on one side.

It's actually a message. It will say "Low coolant level" or "Check coolant level" . Hard to miss. Anyway, the sensor is in and part of the coolant reservoir. If the sensor isn't working, you need to replace the reservoir.

for my 2008 650i convertible I tried the socket 87 located in trunk, in front of battery, it takes yellow 20 amp, it worked, i had a penny fall in the cig lighter and shorted it. Thanks to Kudos98
