HI. My Yamaha D80 while playing gave a burned smell and than sound quit. Rest works. I opened rearcover and notice 3rd fuse in the back was blown. Changed it. Blew again. So I stopped fidling around.

If the fuse blows and a smell of burning is present then its obvious there i a fault somewhere ahead of the fuse, the fuse is a protection device.

Why would all the power windows quit working?

Check your fuses, most modern cars have 2 fuse boxes, one inside the cabin usually near leg height , other one should be under the hood, just check the fuses to the according circuit printed usually on the inside of the fuse box cover, if its blown there might be a problem with your circuit so simply replacing the fuse might not be a fix.

Electric door locks, trunk release, courtesy lights and rear window defroster have quit all at once

The first thing to check that can affect all of those things at once would be the "BODY" fuse. This is a 15 Amp fuse, located in the rear fuse block. The rear fuse block is located under the rear seat.

If this fuse is blown, you need to have the circuits diagnosed to find out why. Failure to locate and repair the CAUSE of the fuse blowing will only result in the fuse blowing again.

My 2003 montanas door locks on the switch quit working and the switch overhead for the rear power windows quit working . Any ideas???

it sounds like it might have blown a fuse, check your fuses and relays, under the hood, normally in a black box located on the drivers side, sometimes fuse box's are also under the instrument panel , down towards the floor, left of brake pedal.

On my 2001 RX300 the HVAC controls have stopped as well as the display (the display does light up) and the door locks and the window controls from the dirvers side. Also the temp read out. Pretty much all...

sounds like a blown fuse. check under the left side under the dash. (by the hood relesae lever) or there may be a little acces cover by your left knee that pulls off. check all the fuses there. If they are all good. check all the fuses in the engine compartment. Hopefully you will find one that is blown and replace it with the new one. everything should start working again.

Both electric rear windows do not operate

Thanks for using FixYa!

If the rear power windows don't work. Its possible that you have a blown fuse for the rear side windows. Open up the fusebox usually located under the dashboard. Check the fusebox manual. Locate the fuse for the rear power windows. check if the fuse is blown. Replace the fuse. im 98% sure that its just a blown fuse.

Have a wonderful day.
