How to oil change 2005 Mercedes Benz E320 Cdi

Mercedes makes it easy! Get a 10 quart oil pump and draw the oil out of the dipstick tube. The oil filter is on top so can be removed with a filter wrench and easily replaced. No need to jack the car up or crawel under. No fuss no mess and a 10 minute oil change!!!

Belt routing diagram for a 2005 E320 mercedes benz

Hello I'm a M.B. tech. As long as it is original there is no amplifier other than the head unit itself. The only tricky part is getting the antenna to work with the new head unit. Take a test light and find which wire is hot all the time. That will be your circuit 30 wire(radio memmory). Next turn key to position 2 and find your wire( one is for the antenna and the other is for your radio operation) and isolate those 2 wires,. Find your ground wire and those are your basic connections. There is a fader switch in your center console wood. the head unit sends its power ther and it is dispursed to the appropiate speakers(it is also a common problrm when you have no sound. Try to pop the switch up carefully with a flat blade screwdriver. If not pop up the shifter trim ring and pull up on the console wood. You may have to remove the ashtray. It is a fairly simple install hopefully my advice has been helpful.

Ashtry

The shift cover can only be replaced, or you can try a little well placed tape on the broken clip to help hold it in. Common problem. But you will need that cover loose anyway to remove the ashtray. Pull the shift cover up around the shifter, taking care to take the connectors loose. Now use your fingers to reach under the front edge of the wood trim/or metal trim depending on package and pull up to take out from around shifter. Also, go ahead and pop the cupholder up. In the bottom of the compartment is a rubber cushion. You need a long hook or long pliers to grab that rubber and pull it up out ot the compartment. With that removed, grab the cupholder and pull up slightly until you feel it release. Then twist the whole assembly clockwise to remove. This will give you all the access you need to the ashtray compartment.
