Question about 2000 Ford Taurus
The first thing that I would do if I suspected that I got bad gas, other than the very smart thing you did, which was putting in a better grade of gas, is to purchase some sort of additive like HEET to try and dry out any water that was in the gas. The next thing would be to err on the side of caution and take the car to an autoparts store and have them scan the computer for fault codes. Most parts store will do the scan for free. Getting the codes will show anything that the computer has noted, which can eliminate alot of speculation. One other thing that I would suspect would be that the fuel filter has been clogged with impurities from the bad gas and may need changed. These are some things to consider. Really sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.
