Need to undo front pulley on lanos 1998 1.5 ltr. Is it left hand thred or normal anti clockwise to undo? and how to stop motor from turning? (on front of crankshaft)

Here is a way to rmove the crankshaft pulley screw. Its fa previous solution of mine. But it will work for you. And this is how I always do it.

Get a breaker bar, 18 inch or longer, put on a socket that fits the crank pulley screw. Note the direction the crankshaft rotates when the car is running. Position the breaker bar so that when you turn the key the breaker bar will hit the ground and cause the screw to be loosened.

Ideally the socket will be on the screw and the breaker bar will be touching the ground. Turn the ignition long enough for the starter to turn the engine, and immediately turn the key off. Turn it for a half second and back off. Just long enough for the starter to engage for a split-second.

I have a 1999 lanos , how do reset the air bag light

If the light is on, normally it's because it stored a code ! To reset it, you need to go to a local garage and they will scan the code, then erase it to see if it come back if not the light won't come on, if it doe's the light would come on again, and you'll need to replace the defective part's or repair the broken wire !

I snapped key in bad weather have daewoo lanos

snapped key into what lock cylinder or ignition switch or do you have both ends of the key itself or not ?

if you have one end stuck in either lock / ignition cylinder you can try using a welders torch cleaning tip kit it contains many various sized brushes and files etc which will allow you to get in beside the broken end of the key and wiggle it out .,,,any parts store should have them ...

My front washers will not work on my 1999 lanos,

More than likely the pump. Check the fuse first. To replace the pump, you remove the washer tank, disconnect the wires, pull out the old pump, and push in a new one, and re-attach the wires. ( plug in)

Ive been told my 1999 daewoo lanos threw a rod in the engine- i cant drive it anywhere because it knocks really bad - what should i do should i try to tow it and repair it or junk it. and how much would it...

A bad connecting rod is a symptom of a larger internal problem. Without a total rebuild, your engine is useless. Depending upon how much you like the car, you can replace it with a new, remanufactured or low mile junkyard engine. Only use a quality shop for this work as it is expensive and doing it "wrong" will be a very costly "adventure". Do some research on local prices and if you decide on a rebuild, do not buy from ATK ...they have no quality control at all!!! (if you have somewhere to store it for awhile, and you have decided to junk it, try to sell it first... if it's in otherwise good shape...lots of techs buy ones like that and fix/re-sell)
Good Luck!!!
