SOURCE: my front fan blower stopped working, the rear one works fine

I had the same problem. It was the blower motor resistor. To verify this, open the glove compartment and push in on the sides to release it from the dash. The resistor is right in front bolted into the duct with two screws (9mm Hex head) and their are two electrical harnesses connected, one with 5 wires and the other with 2 wires. To bypass the resistor, take a piece of wire and connect the plain dark blue wire to the black wire. If the blower comes on, the resistor is bad. Make sure that you have the fan on high to tell if it runs. The resistor should be in stock at a dealership and cost approximately $30. The Blower Motor Assembly costs about $90. Removal of the part is simple, disconnect the two harnesses and unbolt the two screws.

SOURCE: power locks do not work- where are the fuses inside the the van

The problem is the BCM. The fix is a software update. Resetting the computer by removing and then replacing the 20 amp fuse marked 10D in the fuse box under the hood next to the battery is a temporary fix.

SOURCE: my 1997 dodge caravan won't start. has no power to

1st, There is a relay in the PDC, marked for starter, pull the relay out and swap with a relay beside it, if it works, bad relay. 2nd if not relay , remove and check pin no 30 with test light, should have power, straight opposite is pin 87 that goes to starter, jump these two pins and starter should crank over,if ok. 3rd, check pin 85, comes from nuetral safety switch, test with test light, pos batt to this pin 85, light should be on, if not you have a problem in that circuit or switch. 4th, pin86 comes from the igntion switch, yellow wire, in crank mod this pin 86 should light up with test light, if not, you have a problem with that cicuit, to switch, possible broken wires in collumn connecter to switch. GOOD LUCK RDJRP

does it have the halo around the ignition switch for anti theft? ive seen a lot of those fail and need replaced. on a side note be careful jumping the start on those vans,if the ecm doesnt start it sometimes it wont shut it off either. could be the resistor in the key too.

Check all your fuses, you may have accidentally blown one or more that would cause your problem.

We put a new battery in our van but it still won't start. what could be the problem?

If the engine turns over and the starter works you will need to determine if the engine is getting spark and fuel. Let's concentrate on the starting system first. There are three major components to your starting system. The battery, the starter solenoid, and the starter. There are a couple of sub systems too that can prevent your starter from operating such as the nuetral switch.May sure the car is firmly in nuetral for testing.
If the engine doesn't turn over then you may have a problem with the starter solenoid or the starter itself. You can jump power directly to the starter from the battery by connecting a jumper lead to the positive side of the battery to the starter terminal on the starter. If the starter turns over then your solenoid is probably bad. If the starter will not turn you will need to remove it and have it tested. (Most parts stores will do this for free) NAPA Schucks, O'Rilies CarQuest ect.

Mini van wont start battary charged new altanator and starter all wires are grounded

Do you mean it won't start, or won't crank.
You should have a neutral safety switch between the key switch and the starter to prevent you from cranking the engine in drive or reverse.
A defective switch would keep the engine from cranking.
A mechanic would check for voltage at the starter on the wire from the key switch and go from there.

1991 dodge ram van wont start

To clarify - the engine cranks then starts.
If it won't crank in any gear, I would check the neutral safety switch first.
You can also jumper the starter solenoid to make sure the starter will crank the engine manually without the circuit from the key switch.

Dashboard lights flicker s and clicking while trying to start but wont turnover or start

Sounds very much like the battery or the battery cables/connections. If the battery has low fluid or a shorted cell or two, it won't take a full charge no matter how long you charge it.
If you are not able to take the battery in for a load test and validate that it is good, try changing it out with the battery in another vehicle that is not having a problem, and see if that vehicle suddenly develops the same issue. Batteries need to have a load applied while the voltage is checked for a valid determination of it's condition. If you have a volt meter, have someone try the starter while you are checking the battery voltage. If it falls way below 12 volts (replace it), or stays above 12 volts (good) you have a valid answer either way.
