WITH THE CAR RUNNING YOU SHOULD GET A 13.5 - TO 14.5 VOLT READING AT THE BATTERY TERMINALS IF READING IS LOWER THEN 13.5 VOLTS YOUR ALTERNATOR IS BAD

You probably already did this, but it's still worth mentioning, make sure cables are clean (no corrosion) and tight, next check the battery, if the alt. is ok you probably have a bad battery that won't charge properly. Go to a parts store, most will check it for free.

I have a 2000 hyndi elantra, I replaced the serpintine belt and thought that was the problem. But I drove it abt 3 miles and it just died; I had to pull off to rd side and got a jump, made it a littl

sound like the alter belt or the alternotor itself needs to be replace to go the cheap way first i would have my battery tested and to check the alter yourself do this easy test start the car with the car running remove the postive battery cable off the battery if the car stay running then the altern is good if it shut down you need a new alter good luck

Alternator in my 4 cyl Hyundai Sonata has new alternator and when put back on alterator check is still says it's bad, could it be relay?

try this! start vehicle, while it is running remove the negative cable from battery. if it stays running the alternator is good. make sure battery connections are clean and tight. if checking alternator at battery, and you know its charging. then it has to be a short in wire from the alt. if the engine dies when testing as above. its either a bad alt, or a bad wire. or bad ground. good-day!

When i take my alterator to have it checked at parts house they say its OK, but when its mounted and running on the truck all my testers shows there is no power output going to the battery

Well it is possible that your alternator is good. I would be willing to bet that the problem is not your battery. If your battery has a dead cell It may not be taking a charge even if your alternator is working properly. I would suggest that you have your battery tested, and if you have already done this and you are still having problems then I would suggest that you take take your car to your local shop and ask them to perform a charge system load test. They will usually do this at little to no charge, and that test will let you know for sure what the problem is. I hope this helps you out, and if you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

Charging light is one while engine is running, belts look to be OK, is alternator going bad

Run it by Autozone or any good auto parts store and they can test your charging system for FREE. If belt is slipping through pulleys you'll get same symptoms. Belt may look good but if it's glazed the tend to slide over pulleys. Have them test it before throwing parts & $$$ at it.
