Should be about every 3 year or 36,000 miles as a rule of thumb. Some manufacturers claim there coolant can last longer then that, but customers that stick to that usually have problems with the system later on down the line. Thats why I like the 3 year 12,000 per year rule. other then that you can consult your owners manual should be in the back,

2005 dodge grand caravan transmission will not shift. radiator fluid rusty color

Check your coolant for any trans fluid mixing,& ck the trans fluid for coolant, the radiator may have an internal leak (trans/ coolant), If they are mixing within the rad, radiator needs replacement. If OK then there may be 2 separate problems. The cooling system may need service or the rad is rusted and there is a separate trans problem. Ck for fluid mixture first!

The air conditioner does not feel cool. Where do I add coolant?

If the AC is not cold- you don`t add coolant. You must add REFREGERANT (freon gas)
This is added in the A/C lines by a Trained Technician. I would recommend you go to your service repair shop for this service. You may have a slow leak -but either way the shop will further diagnose your car`s A/C system..

What recommended service is there for the 2005 equinox at 60,000 miles?

Definately do the plugs and wires, air filter, Transmission service, Brake fluid flush, coolant flush, power steering flush and differential (if applicable to your car) if money allows. Priority would be plugs and wires, air filter, trans service and coolant for now And then work your way down.

Changed coolant and heater quit working

how did you change the coolant? did you remove a hose or just open up the valve at the bottom of the radiator

If you removed the lower radiator hose then you may have induced air into the cooling system

when the engine is cool, remove the coolant cap and start the engine

wait until you have a good flow of coolant out of the reservoir to ensure you have all the air out of the system

My 2005 Lincoln LS V6 has a message that says srvc P

The message means the electric park brake needs serviced. In this case I feel that considering the ac problem, the Coolant Control Valve is defective. The valve can create RF interference that messes with the electronics of the park brake system. The Coolant Control Valve is located at the right side bottom of the radiator fan shroud and has 3 heater hoses connected to it.

2005 Dodge Stratus Coolant Outlet Flange

The water outlet housing if installed properly, shouldn't leak. The only way to build up too much pressure would be for the thermostat to be stuck closed. I would find out where the leak is coming from before I went any further. Use the bleeder screw in the housing to bleed the air out of the system.

Why does the service manual for a 2005 Honda CR 85 (2-stroke motorcycle) call for the replacement of coolant be done by a trained professional with special equipment? Can you just not pour coolant intot he...

You can add coolant yourself. They are concerned taht if you drain the system or flush it, that you won't get all the new coolant back in and end up with air trapped in the system, which is hard to purge.
