Does this occur when turning the steering wheel ???????

If so it could be the the Airbag/SRS Contact reel or as the Americans say Clock spring assembly

This is behind the steering wheel connects the airbag to the system could have got full of fluff,or Ganga ash ETC. ONLY IF AIR BAGS FITTED AND HORN OPERATION BY PRESSING CENTRE OF WHEEL.

Many Thanks

Oh there is a reason, that is most likely a warped airbag, this makes the horn contacts touch and sound the horn

What wire ( yellow or blue ) powers the horn on a 1981 Ford F-150

The horn button supplies a ground to the horn relay.Start by pulling the plug at the base of the column, see if you can get a ground on one of the pins from the column when you pus the button.Or find the horn relay, and do the same test from there. You should find 12v on one on the relay socket pins,a ground on one(this will be the wire to the horn)and a ground on the 3rd pin when you press the horn button.

1. my radio just stopped working, it used to go on and off depending on the dots in the road or a big bump but now there is nothing, the fuses are ok too. 2. the horn does not work at all, fuses are ok...

it sounds like the plug in the back of the radio has come loose. remove radio and check connection. as far as the horn PULL THE WIRE FROM THE HORN UNDER THE HOOD THEN RUN A TEST LEAD FROM THE + SIDE OF YOUR BATTERY TO THE HORN IF IT HONKS REPLACE THE HORN RELAY IF NOT REPLACE THE HORN. GOOD LUCK

The horn dose not honk, ford 150, 2005

Did you check the fuse for the horn ?

Next, check the horn connector with a meter ( set to DC volts ) and have someone press the horn button, you should get + DC at the connector.

If not, pull the horn relay, and jumper the normally open contact ( red line in the diagram below )

With this jumpered, and the horn fuse good, the horns should sound. If not, recheck the fuse or could be an issue with the horn connector.

My security system coms on for no apparent reason

The security system (VATS/PassKey) is having problems, it's typical on those cars and it gets worse till the car won't start anymore. You can find a great write-up here: http://newrockies.ca , it was the only thing that saved my Park Avenue with the same system.

Where is located the ford f-150 horn

If you slide under the front bumper, in front of the passenger side front wheel, and look up, the high and low note horns should be on a bracket right there.
