2005 Ford Freestar power sliding doors do not work after dead bat

The Battery died on my 2005 Ford Freestar. After replacing the battery, the power sliding doors and the rear hatch do not open with the remote key or the driver controls. They work with the buttons by the doors. I performed reset per owner's manual and checked the fuse.

SOURCE: 2004 Freestar hatch will not unlock

There is a tendancy for the Triggers from the handle to Disengage internally to the Latch due to Wear and Tear, or sometimes Stressing the Mechanism when the Tailgate is Locked and someone forgot.
Gently unfasten the trim panels around the Tailgate, from the INSIDE, and if you THINK about the project, you will be able to release enough of this All in One piece enough to trip the triggers by hand, and open the Tailgate. Continue to unfasten the moulded grips, and remove the whole panel. This will then give you the access to fix the Release mechanism, mounted on the Tailgate inner body.
Regards, DT

SOURCE: Sliding door 2005 Freestar - Banging

I would check the pin that the door locks onto when it is shut. It may be loose or worn or needs some kind of adjustment.

SOURCE: Battery died now power sliding doors and rear hatch not operating

1) Unlock all doors from driver's door while it is open. The driver's door is the only door to remain open during this process! 2) Turn the key from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the eighth turn ending in RUN. All the doors will lock and unlock if program is successful. 3) Turn key OFF and remove key from ignition. Within 20 seconds, press any button on the remote. (Press sliding door or rear hatch and it will open!) 4) If door locks do not respond, wait several seconds and press button again. If doors still fail to respond, try repeating steps (1-3).

Battery was disconnected for a while. Did the code reset & B pillar buttons work and doors respond to outside handles but overhead console by driver isn't working. Suggestions?

You may have to turn the overhead console door switch off and on several times to refresh its memory as to its purpose. I have encountered this problem a number of times when periodically replacing a dead battery.

Lights on driver floorboard and by both sliding doors wont go out killing my battery

there is a door switch that has gone bad, check the connection on the sliding doors, the little metal prongs are prone to corrosion, try cleaning them and see how that works.

I replaced the battery in my 2005 Freestar. Now

This is usually caused by a bad connection on the batt or term. Check the wires going to the bat terminal sometimes they will get loose or even come off

Dead battery making a clicking sound

take the battery out of the veh and see if it will charge overnight on a charger, if not then the bat just ran its course I doubt it is 11 years old. Bats last anywhere from 3 to 5 years then they die if it does charge then your alternator needs to be replaced as it charges the battery when you drive, low voltage may cause the buzzing, tellin gyou there is a problem.

Power sliding door won't close properly on 2005 Freestar

U will need to buy a can of spray white grease and clean and then lubricate all the tracks the door channels on as well as all the latches for the door, this will cure the issue in most cases, did allot of these while working at a Ford dealer.
