Question about 2000 Buick LeSabre

Buick Le Sabre 2000 Cruise will not stay on when pressed

Light comes on when button is pressed but when button released it will not stay on.I guess like you said in another question it could be the small on/off switch. How do I get it out..prying with a screw driver? and do I have to pull the fuse first?

instead of using a screw driver use a PAINT CAN LID REMOVER it has a little 90deg lip on the end, this can be used as a hook. I pushed this down the side and the lip caute under the switch. It was out in 5 sec flat

Had the same problem..You do not have to pull the fuse 1st...I used a screw driver (handle with care) to get the switch out. Pay close attention to the way it come out because the wires are real short..When you get it connected you can just push it back into the hole without much problem

The starter on a 1990 buick le sabre clicks once when trying to start but won"t start

if the starter justs clicks once and all the lights stay bright i would say the starter is going bad. sometimes as a test ,you can tap the starter and if it works, it points to a bad starter

2000 Buick LeSabre's cruise control button won't stay engaged

We had the same problem and ended up replacing the switch. We used a small flat-tip screwdriver and lifted along the edge of the switch. With the switch removed from the steering wheel, we disconnected the wire connector and installed the new switch by reversing the order.

Trunk release button won't work, remote will

not entirely sure about your buick, but I have a 2000 pontiac that has a switch just inside the glovebox that deactivates the trunk switch. that, together with locking the glovebox would prevent someone with jsut the valet key from gaining access to the trunk area.
