is there a check engine light on. also if there isn't a scanner can tell you in real time data if a sylinoid is receiving the signal to shift or not if it is recieving the signal but not responding the sylonoid could be bad or the wiring could have been ate up by rats check for any bare or cut and chewed wires,. hope this helps,.
there are multiple ways to use seafoam on a z32:
gas tank- just add into gas tank to clean injectors, fuel lines, remove deposits from tank itself and clean the valves.
throttle bodies- while leaving the maf sensor on the intake plugged in remove the throttle body hoses one at a time and SLOWLY pour in a little bit of seafoam as a friend revs to about 2k rpms. hold onto the can because there will be suction that can pull the can into the intake. (essentially this is a vacuum approach.
oil- add whole can to oil through the oil cap. run for about 50 miles and change oil. the longer you leave it in the more it will clean things.
depending on your reasoning for wanting to seafoam it the method that would work best varies.
for ticking lifters- through the oil as the ticking sound is a blocked check valve in one of the lifters causing it to slap against the camshaft.
(wynns hydraulic valve lifter treatment from the uk works wonders too)
for cleaning injectors- through gas
just for an engine flush id put half in oil and half in gas run for 50 or so miles and then do an oil change. the gas will take care of itself.
is it a turbo or naturally aspirated? there are about 30 to 40 separate vacuum lines on the vg30de and vg30dett motors. what is your particular problem so we can give a little more detailed info?
check items in your fuel lines first, filter, pressure regulator....could be anything running down that line, don't waste your money on a fuel pump until it's the last option
What did you wire the neon's to? Obviously whatever you wired it to overloaded the circuit and popped the fuses. Check you fuse box on the inside of the car. You should wire the neon's power directly to the battery. Don't forget the fuse shortly after the battery!
good manuals are hard to come by for the z32 models, they have cd manuals on ebay for cheap, but i bought one of those and you get what you pay for. if you watch close on ebay you can sometimes find an original shop manual for the z32, they have a grey cover with red lettering and are approx 500 pages, they tell you EVERYTHING. they run about $70-$90 i know thats not cheap but if your doing a lot of wrenching on a z32 its well worth it. also make sure you dont get the auto body edition as it looks the same as the mechanic but it says body manual on it. if you want post your problems and ill check it out.
You may have to look at Kaminari - they're an aftermarket company that makes a wing similar to the OEM TT wing. You may have luck with Courtesy Nissan in Texas though - they have a ton of stuff there (www.courtesyparts.com). Or if you don't mind one that is used, call up Z1 Motorsports in GA (www.z1motorsports.com) - they're a 300ZX salvage yard and tuning company. They'll have one for sure.
