Emissions warranty is 5 year or 50K miles, but I assume the break was not a warranty item.

Most likely will be a dealer only part. Or a junk yard, but they may not want to canibalize an engine for the EGR tube.

Whats the difference in egr tubes in a 2005 chevy equinox if it has been retrofitted or has the original Delphi parts?

yes it sounds as it has been retrofitted and other parts put on. Since you got what was originally supposed to be on it and it don't work then it has been modified.

My 2005 Equinox has a broken EGR tube, I need to get a replacement tube. Can you please get me the part number?

My tube broke several years ago. The original tube is longer than the replacement. Evidently the GM was unable to make a long tube that would not break. You have a long tube if the input of the EGR (where the tube connects) is higher than the output (where the EGR connects to the intake manifold). If you have the longer tube, you must purchase a replacement from GM which is $200 and includes the short tube, new design EGR valve and a new connector to replace the old EGR electrical connector.

Broken egr pipe - can this be welded/brazed back together

I had a broken one on an 05 Equinox. I tried brazing and is soon broke again. I did not have a mig welder at the time, and would try it if I had the problem again.

A hose on the front of the motor with a bent metal end on it has a crack in the metal piece what is that hose

This is the egr valve tube. You have to replace this as a kit and the best price I found it at was rockauto.com. Look under emmisions, egr valve and this is the replacement kit. It comes with a new egr valve, tube and connector and because they changed the design from delphi to seimons type. You will have to take you equinox in to have the computer reprogramed.

Hope this helps because I had to do the same thing.

Where is the transmission Fill plug on a 2005 chevy equinox?

There is no fill plug on transmission pans, you have to fill them from the
dipstick tube in the engine bay. Get a long funnel that will fit into the
dipstick tube hole, and then fill it that way. Make sure you turn the
vehicle on while filling it, and put it through all the gears, with your foot
on the brake. This will make sure your torque convertor is being properly
filled, along with the trans. Good luck.

My EGR Tube is broken in half.

A solution to this might be to call a junk yard and see if you can get one that way...To install it there is a bolt up by the EGR valve and a bolt down by the exhaust manifold. Take the bolts out pull the pipe out and put a new pipe in - real easy job to do :)

I need to replace the egr valve on my 2005 equinox

The kit that is needed to fix the problem is part number 89018176 (EGR replacement kit). If the EGR valve is the updated, remanufactured Siemans version than to just replace the EGR pipe will require part # 12602507. To replace the original EGR pipe that came factory installed on your vehicle (designed & manufactured by Delphi) had a major falw and is no longer available ANYWHERE! Trust me I have looked! Once the EGR replacement kit is in place have to vehicle computer reprogrammed by a dealer and you should be good to go!Good luck!
