DO A LITTLE TUNE UP. CHANGE DISTRIBUTOR CAP + ROTOR + SPARK PLUGS + WIRES AND COIL.IF ALL THESE COMPONENTS BEEN ON THE CAR FOR A LONG TIME.IF STILL NO SPARK I AM LOOKING AT THE POWER TRANSISTOR.YOU CAN BUY A COIL OR FIND ONE IN GOOD CONDITION.ITS EITHER COIL OR TRANSISTOR.I WOULD TRY COIL FIRST BECAUSE POWER TRANSISTOR VERY EXPENSIVE.

Wiring an hei distributor

You shouldn't need a spark box because thee coil is located in the dist. cap. You need to run a 12v switched power source to the side of the dist. cap that is marked dist. if it isn't maked it is the term. that is on the front right of the conector pad. the one on the left is for hooking up a tach.

No spark to plugs

There is a pick-up coil inside the distributor that may be bad. You can check it with an ohmmeter if you have one. They are not that expensive, but a little tricky to change.

Pull the coil wire out of center of distributor cap and lay it close to where you unpluged it from distributor cap, and turn over engine if coil is good you will see the spark jump. If no spark coil bad.
