Question about 2003 Mazda MPV
P0327 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Low Bank 1 or Single Sensor
P0431 Warm Up Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 2

Testimonial: "Thank you."
I own one of these (nightmare) MPV's. After Ford got their hands on them they are complete junk (I have the repair receipts to prove it).
I fixed bank one about a year ago (PO421) and now bank two is looking to be replaced (P0431). Bank 1 cost $980 for a new catalyst converter and an O2 sensor as Ford (in their infinate engineering wisdom) designed the catalyst convertor DIRECTLY on the exhaust manifolds so they warm up faster.
Best advice is to not get sucked into buying the cat from the dealer and insist on a quality non-OEM direct fit and sell it!

You may want to try adding some good fuel injector cleaner and filling it with premium gasoline.. Lee
