You may have a bad wheel bearing. raise the car up so both wheels are off the ground. trans in neutral.... now grasp the coil spring with one hand and spin the tire with the other, ck both sides and compare...now the side that has the bad bearing will feel "rough". that will need the wheel hub replaced.

One or more of your tires are no good.
How to check this is : hard to explain.. but will try.. Rub your hand on top the tire... If you are on the passenger side of car rub them counterclockwise and drivers side clockwise... If the tread is bumpy, it will make that noise... If the treads are smooth, then the tire or tires ar o.k.

Front end hum/noise

The hum could be being generated by the tires. I would move the rear tires to the front (as they are a different brand) and see if the hum is exactly the same at the same speed.

High speed hum can also be generated from the design of some types of brake rotors but I doubt that is the issue in this case.

From what you have described I would not have thought the problem would be wheel bearings so I am surprised that was the diagnosis before a more careful investigation was carried out. I would have tested the tires first. (I would not have put the old wheel bearings back in either after they had been changed).

2007 hyundai accent humming front end tire

Same with my 07 Accent. bought new in 07, noise started last spring 2013 at 63,000 miles, a year later at 97,000 getting louder but still rolling along, high speeds and pulling a trailer some of the time. Cannot believe a bad bearing would last that long.

Frony endmakes a humming noise

I would have a front end alignment done, because toe-in can wear tires and make a humming noise. Could also be wheel bearings, which an alignment would also catch. Could even be a bent rim or tire bulge, which they should also catch. Just make sure you tell them about the hum. It could as simple as the tires were incorrectly rotated from one side to the other. That can cause a hum as well, because of stretched cords.

Loud humming noise from drivers side front end changed hub assembly still have noise ????????????????

humming noise usually comes from wheel bearings. did you change that with a new bearing? also choppy or worn tires can cause humming noise that sounds like bad wheel bearings. rotate your tires and see if the noise changes. if so its tires. also even if it sounds like its from the right it could very well be a bad bearing in another location.

Humming noise

My 03' avalanche was making the same huming sound. After checking everything that could possibly be making this noise from tires to wheel bearings to brake shoes draging and four different pro garages giving me four different answers, I finally checked the rear differntial only to discover fluid slowly seaping out of it. I'm told more than once' that this is an ongoing problem with some rear ends on these model trucks but chevy or GM will not take any responsabilty or acknolage any problems exist. This little non responsible action finally ended up costing me over $2300.00 out of pocket... SO' have the rear axle bearings checked and serviced asap before this happens to you...

My front end makes a loud humming noise. At low speeds, I hear a humming noise and at high-speeds I can hear a noise in my tires. Not sure if it is an the wheel bearings, bad tires, or alignement.

Alignment will not create a sound by it's self. The most common cause of humming (especially if you have an agressive tread design)is a wear pattern in the tires...check for that or rotate the tires around & see if the noise changes. If it does then you know it's in the tires. & Not always, but most of the time a bearing noise will increase or decrease in intensity if you load up one side at a time by doing 35-50 mph & turning slightly to each side.

Noisey front end

Change the tire. Your tires might be worping from the inside. I had the same problem. It might need an aligment too.
