Question about 1996 Pontiac Bonneville SE CA Value
My 2005 grand am smells like gas both inside and outside too. It's not exhaust, its gas. Its intoxicating. It happens when im idleing and especially when it's cold outside. I live in Colorado, it's cold half of the year! I can't turn on my heat otherwise i will be smelling gas. The only time i can turn the heat on is after the car has been running for about 20 mins...by then i'm already at my destination. Any chance it's the catalytic converter? I hope not! Suggestions?
Not the catalytic converter. you have a fuel line leaking somewhere. check lines on top of motor at fuel rails.and line leading from tank to filter-filter to motor.
