Try holding it under water for a count of ten!
Forgive me for that bad humor, I couldn't resist!
Sounds like you have either a bad plug and/or wire, they tend to fail under load. TPS may be out of adjustment or going bad on the fuel side. And last , too much back pressure in the exhaust due to faulty cat convertor.

I have an 06 jeep liberty with 110xxx miles. E erything is perfect except when im on the highway and in overdrive the transmission feels like its hiccuping. If I give it a little more gas and it downshifts...

does it feel like the engine is holding back when this "hiccup" occours with this mileage the cat convertor could be getting clogged by carbon deposits so as a first, and cheap , first step i'd put some fuel additive in the tank that is specific for the cat as well as the valves/cylinders etc follow the instructions on the product you choose but you can get good results with these products i use them as part of my vehicle maintenance routine

Just put gas in car but it is acting like its out of gas,

sounds like bad gas. go to local Napa parts tore and buy something called Sea Foam and put it in tank. It will work wonders.

Drive stopped

Same thing happen to mine, found out that it was the gas cap causing my problem. It was either air locked or sensor, but when I took the cap off and put it back on with at least 3 turns, never had the problem again. Hope this helps!

Sounds like a failing MAP/MAF Sensor....manifold absolute pressure sensor or mass air flow sensor. Do you happen to have a check engine light on?

i would suggest replacing the catalytic converter. it might be plugged up and that could solve both your problems. if it demonstrates more going up hill the fuel pump might be going out

My 94 jeep cherokee sport with a five speed has been jerking violently through all gears from a dead stop. There are no codes showing anymore. I've replaced the tps, ignition switch, alternator, and...

I had the exact same problem, The rear wheels have bushings that go out, they are only a few dollars. I changed that and it solved the problem. In addition I did change the throw out bearing and pilot bearing at the same time. Problem is now fixed
