Question about 2004 GMC Yukon

I have no speed odometer or oil pressure gauge in my 2004 Yukon

My speed odometer quit working about a year ago and now my oil pressure gauge reads low and now the warning bell will not stop ringing inside my car. The car is not overheating and I have plenty of oil. I disconnected the wire on the back of my oil pressure gauge to get the bell to stop ringing. I was told that it was a "cluster" problem. The dealer wants $500.00 to install a new cluster. Where can I find a better deal? How about any websites with used clusters?
Any help would be appreciated!!!

Hi,

Your car dealer is probably right. Please click on the link below to open the webpage for used parts. This website requires you to register for free, but you will surely find secondhand parts. You will also have to pay a refundable fee of approximately $6.99 to place a request.

Ask your dealer about the exact name of the part and then you can search for it on this website.

Has 358000 miles, just had leaks repaired. Twice since my oil pressure gauge reads no pressure but not all the time? Why

1. Oil Pressure Gauge Not Working You will notice this happens when your oil pressure gauge is not reading, whether the engine is turned off, idle or running. Try to step on the gas to rev up the engine. If the oil pressure gauge still doesn't change its reading, your gauge is busted. It's best to replace it as soon as possible because you won't have any idea if your car is already overheating or not.
2. Oil Pressure Gauge Reading Too Low When your engine is idle, the oil pressure gauge will have a low reading. When the engine starts running or when you're already cruising or on the freeway, your gauge's reading should have increased. If it stays on a low reading, then you now your oil pressure gauge is broken.
3. Oil Pressure Gauge Reading Too High Another common oil pressure gauge problem is when your oil pressure gauge is reading too high when your engine is idle or when it's turned off. Rep

When I first start my yukon it has 45 pounds of pressure but when I drive it the oil pressure goes to 10

I would suggest taking the oil pressure sender out and temporarily connecting a manual gauge to the engine. Run the engine until it's warm. If the manual gauge reads the same pressure as the electric one you may have a serious engine problem. If the manual gauge reads normal when the engine is warm the problem is probably with the gauge, most likely the sender.

Yukon 2009 low engine oil pressure in the meter reading To a level slightly over the quarter Engine Oil 10 W. 30 What is the Problem Is it normal I apologize for my Rkkt Thanks in advance

First off I believe you are using the incorrect weight oil. I am pretty sure you should be using 5w20 instead of 10w30. Check your owner's manual to be sure. At idle the oil pressure would be around 1/4 on the gauge and at highway speed it should read about 1/2. Make sure you are using a quality filter such as AC/Delco, Wix, or Purolator. If the oil pressure seems low is this vehicle not under warranty? If so, take it back to the dealer.

Low oil pressure

If the engine is not making any noise. It is probably the oil sending unit that is defective. If you want to be sure you will have to install a pressure gauge and check the pressure when the vehicle is at normal operating temperature. If it is above 10 psi then replace the sending unit.It is located on the back of the motor on the block by the left cylinder head. You might need a special socket for it.Hope this helps.Good luck.

The speed odometer and the oil gauge has stopped working but the rest of the control panel works

There are motors that move each gauge inside your dash called jumper motors. They go bad all the time in your year of car. There are companies that you can send your gauge cluster to and they will replace all of the motors for around 150 dollars. Or you can buy some on eBay and soder them in yourself.

Speed Odometer and Oil Gauge Drops

GMC yukons are notorious for gauge malfunctions, there are recalls for some models
However, if you have recently changed your battery this problem can occur and will take some driving time 30 min-60 min for the computer to fully reset.
