It could be the sun roof. It also could be clogged drains from the sun roof. It may also be door seals Leaking. It could also be leaking around the bottom of the windshield. A good way to narrow it down is to get inside the car and have someone spray the outside of the car with a water hose. while you look for water leaking inside of the car. If it does it while the ac is on may be a clogged ac drain. however it usually just leaks on passenger side when it is that. well good luck.
If the computer is bad there is no way to diagnose the alternator problem. A new ECM for the vehicle will cost anywhere from $400 to $1600 depending on where you get the ECM at. Because of the way these are made you'll have to replace the whole thing. Once assembled they encase the board in an impact gel that is designed to protect the board from damage caused by impact. It also has the unfortunate side effect of making it near impossible to repair these since the chips can not be reprogrammed by anyone without a special computer with special software.
WTF !!!! Who told you this exactly? All you need to do is replace the bulb at a cost of a few dollars......Job done!...... Do it yourself, it's quite easy. If you have the HID bulbs, then they will be more expensive than ordinary filament bulbs but certainly nowhere near $1500. I'm from the UK so I don't know the prices in the USA.
