Question about 1988 Dodge Ramcharger
Most places that sell batteries have a chart that shows applications. By rule, get the battery with the highest cold cranking amps that you can afford. Make note of any potential clearance problems especially between the hood and top terminals and anywhere close to the positive terminal. Make sure that the existing cables will reach the posts which are reversed on some batteries. If there is a battery in it, use that one as a guide. Make sure that whatever battery you obtain is fully charged as your alternator is not designed to charge a battery, only to maintain the state of charge.
