Question about 2000 Volvo V40
How do i replace the battery on my volvo v40? I understand there is a clip that has to be moved but I'm not very good with cars and i'm not sure how to disconnect it from the + & - points. Is this something that can be done by just anyone and is there any danger of me electricuting myself?
No danger in electrocuting yourself. Just don;t let the wrench come in contact with the batter post and another piece of metal at the same time. The clip is at the lower left of the battery tray and slides left to right and grabs onto the lip of the battery. you'll also need the security code for your radio to reprogram it once your new battery is in. It should be written in your owners manual. If not you'll have to contact your local Volvo dealer with your VIN number. By the way most Auto Parts store will install a battery if you purchase it from them at no additional charge.
