Question about 2002 Pontiac Firebird
Paul, if you mean "radiator hose" then the part is the thermostat housing.
Perhaps the part is the bypass valve, which causes the heated water to "bypass" the heater core if the core is restricted.

I have a 98 firebird and the hoses run into the drivebelt assembly on that
