Check your fluid levels in your gearbox, top up if low. Sounds like your layshaft bearings are worn, indication of high mileage or harsh acceleration in first. Live with it as only sure way to resolve is replacement gearbox, or to have yours repaired, which is a gearbox off job

Can the transmisionof 2006 Chevy Malibu max be damage when when their is no trasmision oil?

Any part of the auto that uses oil for lubrication will get damaged if run without oil. The gears rub against each other and get heated up and may be even melt if the distance is too much.

1990 Toyota Camry transmission won't go into any gear

you didn't make clear you have a automatic trasmission or manual?
if is a manual trasmission you have to look the clutch and to valves that is puting the trasmision oil pressure to move the clutch one at the end near the gear box and the second after the clutch pedal outside of the cabin imediatley after the pedal. you have to look to the oil level in the rezervoir, if you dont have the problem to bay some oil and to change completely the oil first maybe the right solution to begin with oil change first , may be is freeze from the dirties finded in the oil pipes and valves.
if you have the automatic trasmission sorry i dont know, because the problems there are more complex.

I suggest you go to and type in reverse slam for automatics. Read Wolfman's cure. They also suggest changing automatic transmission fluid every 9,000 miles, not the 100,000 miles the owners manual recommends. If other gears are also affected, like second, you will have to replace and torque the input shaft nut.

The guys at SaturnFans are a great group and will walk you through if you have any probems after doing a search of previous posts.
