Check your charging system. It may be the reason you changed batteries. The charging voltage should be in the following range 13.6 - 14.2 v. The lower the voltage the higher the rate of charge. Good Luck

I haven't drove my truck for 2 days and this morning I went to start it the battery light was on and on the panel it said check charging system.

It;s either a bad alternater or battery connection. Check battery connection first. If that isn't it go to auto parts store. Most of them will check your battery & alternater for free.If it's the battery, most of the stores will install it for free( I usually give them a 3 or 4 dollar tip, it's worth it). If it's the alternater, buy a new one,usually under $100. Some auto parts stores will lend you the tools to replace it. Normally takes less than 30 minutes to do it.

Battery light stays on after changing battery,alternater & plugin.

Is the system charging? You should have 14.2 14.6 volts at the battery. The charge light is controlled by the alternator internally. If the charging system is working, you could have a bad diode inside the alternator keeping the light on or a short/grounded circuit to the battery light

F350 2004 6.0 brand new alternator not charging new batteries , battery light stays on , what could I be missing?

Just cause its a new alternator does mean it should work. I would check the charge when running cause it could just be a bad alternator.

The battery keeps draining. Any thoughts on what

My friend;
Try this;

Your Alternator NOT producing enough Volts & It's going to die soon.

I suggested that you check the performance of your electric Alternator; It seems it's NOT producing enough Volts.
It must produce at least 13.7 volts with some loads ON.
Such head light, air-condition ON.

Alternator produces between 13.7- 14.8 volts to power the car accessories & charging the battery.

Alternator has brushes might be worn or broken, etc.

OR : check battery post may has corrosion on it or the cable strands { wires}.
Need cleaning & thin coat of grease.

Try it, & PLZ; let me know if It work with You & If I add any benefits to you.
I hope I add some thing valuable to you.

Battery lite stays on when engine is running

If you have checked the battery, alternater, fuses and relays, it could be a faulty earth. Alternater may be faulty, there is a very good chance your fan belt may need tightening, your fan belt should not be too slack as if it was slack, it would not charge the battery properly and thus cause the battery light to stay on, if you push down on the belt it should move a little, but hardly much, if it is slack you may also get a squeal especially in wet weather, I would reccomend that you replace the fan belt. This is not expensive especially if you do the job yourself.
