Castrol and maybe others has a site where you can put in your car make and it tells you what oil to use .. the site is really slow and a bit clunkey but could be a source of good info .. unfortunatly here is what they say about your car : ====== SM 5W-30 - Thank you for inquiring about what oil is best for your vehicle. Based on the information you provided, your vehicle requires a special engine oil that can only be purchased at your local dealer. Please visit your local dealer to ensure that your vehicle is serviced properly ========== thats a big yikes .. you can call their experts at 1 800 462 0835 .. or you can visit the info page below .. go to tools and services .. then click on "which oil to buy" .. then answer some dumb questions and a few that matter and they give you a recommendation .. warning their site is really slow .. http://www.castrol.com/castrol/LubesSelector.do?categoryId=3240.

What fluid do I put in my 2008 clutch cylinder ? And how do i bleed it ?

You need either Dot 3 or Dot 4 brake fluid for clutch cylinder. If the old oil in clutch cylinder oil container is red or yellow then its Dot 3 and if its Clear like water then its Dot 4. Never Mix dot 3 and dot 4 oil. Check your vehicle owner manual for correct type of oil.

For bleeding you need to open the valve near the brake caliper till all the air inside the fluid pipe is released and oil starts dripping. Also add fresh oil in clutch container so that you don't create air gaps while bleeding.

How many quarts of oil and what type of oil does a 1996 nissan altima take

4-5 quarts of 5w30, on average. It will depend on motor size...A v-6 uses more oil than a v-4. When in doubt, put 3.5 quarts in, then start measuring with the dipstick to avoid over-filling with oil, as this can blow a gasket, worst case scenario... 5W 30 Synthetic Oil Bing images

What is the best oil for subaru xt6

You use the oil recommended by the manufacture

Why would you listen to that nonsense,do you have
a diesel?

If you have a 4 or 6 cylinder you use 5W-30 unless
another type is specified

How do you know what the oil pressure is?

Did you put a gauge on the motor,do that

How often should i change my oil? My mom said that the dealership who she purchased the car from told her that once a year was all that was necessary. She puts approx 8 to 10k on her car annually. She has...

definitely not once a year at 8-10k. 3-5k miles on average and if a lot of highway miles 4-6k and if you don't put that many miles on it then at least 1 once a year no matter how few miles

I may have put the wrong type of oil in vch. I org. used 1 qt. of full synetethic 10W-30 oil and 4 qts. of 10W-40 synetethic blend in with it later because the engine was 4 qts low. Did i cause any damage...

You may have caused some damage by letting the oil level get so low but no damage will result by mixing full sybthetic with a synthetic blend. I don't believe 10W40 is the rated grade oil for your car. You should always use the recommended grade oil the manufacturer states.

What type of oil (brand\weight) do I use in a 2008 kia rio? Also how much oil does it hold?

i suggest you use 5w 30 full synthetic oil, preferably Mobil 1. put 4 qts of oil then check the dipstick if you should need more. I also suggest that you check the dipstick after the car had not been used for couple of hour and the oil had settled at the bottom (oil pan) so you can have more accurate reading.
