Ignition switch is the one you want. It contains the "contacts" that have separated from the housing.

The cylinder switch is only the key part and not the electrical contacts part.

My 2001 kia sportage misfires through the exhaust and through the intake, causing strong petrol fumes andfuel consumption is high

This sounds like an ignition timing problem, or a poorly performing ignition part. My best guess would be the coil pack if the timing is OK.

When I turn the key everything is normal, but when i start it the relays just click. Saturday I had it checked out for same problem, but nothing was found. Starter, selenoid, batteries tested out fine....

Hi:
If you had your starter, solenoid and battery checked, there is only the actual ignition switch left in the system. ( The electrical switch, not the key part)

CHANGING IGNITION SWITCH ON 1994 FORD TAURUS

key switch?then turn the key to acc, first spot where the radio comes on ,then pull off the plastic steering column cover on the bottom just under the switch, and push a paper clip in the tiny hole under the switch and wiggle the key switch out.if you dont have a key i would recommend a lock smith to pull out the switch because the switch has to turn to acc in order to remove it...if you are talking about the actual ignition switch, its at the bottom of the steering column with 2 little bolts and 1 long wiring plug

How do i program a new remote for my 2001 chevrolet blazer?

You may program up to 4 transmitters, using following procedure:

Transmitter Programming Procedure (No Tools Required)
Close all the vehicle doors.
Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder.
Press and hold the door unlock switch.
While holding the door lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF.
Release the door unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode.
Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter. After a delay of approximately 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of that transmitter.
Repeat the previous step to program up to four transmitters.
Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter mode.
Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation

Wont start

make sure transmission is in park.

slide a stick or twig up underneath the steering column which will hold a specialized switch in place. Try the ignition. Should it start, the actual problem in the transmission interlock switch for the transmission [located in the center console] which also protects the ignition from turning on [secondary switch prior to the ignition switch]. What a ***** to have found... took me 8 hours but GM wanted 800$ for the fix.
