Question about 1999 Toyota 4Runner
I start having problems with my door locks they stop working i could unlock them but could not lock them by remote control or with bottons on the doors, then one day i press the lock botton in my remote control and they work for the day, out of the sudden they stop working again have to manually lock the doors todayafter about a week and half the bottons start working again it`s there a electrical malfunction or wire is lose, would like to get some info before taking it to the dealer wich would cost me about 100 dls to diagnose the problem may be a little advice will help i`m into fixing and doing maintence on the truck you know brakes, oil changes, tune ups,did not have problems with my truck untill now, bought it new.
I wish I had the answer. But, I have the exact same problem with a 1999 4runner. Hoping someone has the answer. The dealer I purchased it from just replaced the actuator, still no good. One dealer said maybe the master switch, hopefully not, they said that part is $400. Maybe a relay going bad?
