Dont flush it, just have the filter and fluid replaced. it should be done every 30k miles. as for fuel injection, just replace the fuel filter every year, and use a good quality, name brand fuel, (BP, SHELL, CHEVRON) you may add some Chevron Techron to clean the injectors every 10k miles, but dont fall for these trans, injector flushes, all they do is flush money from your wallet. follow what is in the owners manual.

2006 equinox fuel system flush

sounds like 100,000 mile service the fuel flush is a caustic pressurized cleaning of the fuel, valve train, emission ,and cylinders it is designed to clean the carbon and any build up on the fuel delivery system it is injected into the system and the shop or dealer can observe if and how well the cleaner is doing by using the diagnostic scanners to observe pressure changes in injectors and the differences in emissions its not like the over the counter type of cleaners which may not be strong enough to scrub like the commercial grade cleaners but it is a personal preference if u want ur fuel system cleaned most people i have known have never had it done unless they had a failure[emissions] due to carbon build up and a fuel type flush was the only way to really clean or clear lines

Mechanic wants to change my power steering fluid because it is burned. 45k miles on my altima hybrid. also wants to clean my fuel injectors with an i v system?

Power steering flush can't hurt. In fact flushing the power steering systems on some vehicles has solved power steering issues. Power steering fluid is one of the few fluids that is not filtered. Yet it is subject to contamination, heat cycles, shearing, and compression just like many of the other fluids in your car.

Unless there is a problem with the fuel injection system a service is not needed.

When the preform the transmission service they will drain you transmission of its ATF fluid an replace it with new fluid. It is essentially an oil change for your transmission.

Lots of forgein car dealers say no but ive own and service nissan toyota and i dont change the fluid because you never get all the old oil out and then you mix new and old, what we do is called a trany flush done with a bg flush machine and is done every 30,000 miles unless its syntheic trany oil then at 100,000 miles, the flush is done with a cleaner and then a conditioner and removes 100% of the old oil. hope this helps.

Fuel injection flush - is it necessary?

no its a joke to buy something like that in a can to put in your tank, think about it,raw gas is the best cleaner for grease, oil ,varnish,
But what gas or any injector cannot dissolve is rust partials from metal fuel tanks. And most of them are plastic now.

What service does an 04 pontiac needs at at 80k?

gm coolant requires replacement at 5yrs/100,000 miles. rec having cooling system flushed. other then that a general inspection should be all thats required at this interval inspection should include brake linings, fluid lvls, air filter, tires, fluid leaks ect. although there may not be manufacturer requirements for transmission fluid and filter change may want to consider having it done, also fuel system service with injector flush is very benificial to fuel mileage and restoring engine power. gm does NOT ever recommend engine crankcase flushes that some service shops sell. spark plugs in these engines do not require replacing until 100k miles unless causing engine to run rough

I dont have a problem per say but i went to get an oil change and they told me i need Transmission service $159.95 Coolant flush $89.95 Fuel induction service $99.95 and fuel filter $89.95 totaling in...

They are scamming you... never go there again... Not likely that you need those services on your 2007 Elantra.

Parts estimate:
Transmission service ~ $6
Coollant flush: $20 ~ $30
Fuel injection service $20
Fuel Filter: $13

Service estimate:
Transmission service $40
Coolant Flush $30
Injector service $50
Fuel Filter replace $20

Total Parts & Service = $209
However, you probably don't need all that...
Does your car have any particular problems?
Please comment ... Thanks..

Maintenance Toyota Solara 2000

I have kept my cars running for a long time (250k+) by changing fluids as u are doing, and fixing things right away, not letting them develop into bigger problems, so u are destined to have your car for a long time! Many of the maintenance items u list are typically NEVER done by anyone, but they should be. Here's what I recommend from many years of maintaining my cars:
ps flush-50k or 5 yrs
brake fluid flush- every time u have brakes replaced.
Rad.drain, flush, fill -new coolant is said to be good for life of car, I would flush and refill 50/50 coolant water mix every 4 years.
Fuel Injection- I'll get flak over this, but I never do anything to the system, just change your fuel filter every 2 years, or 20k
Trans Flush-don't have it done if they '**** out' the fluid from the dipstick tube. I consider that method a waste. Have the pan removed to drain it, and replace the trans filter if equipped w/ one (u can't change the filter if u **** the fluid out of the dipstick.) Also, some vehicles have a magnet on the bottom of the trans. pan, which collects fine shavings from normal wear and tear (and pieces of metal from a trans. about to go bad). U need to drop the pan to clean this crud off the magnet.
oil and filter (good quality filter-cheap junky ones are much lighter than a quality one) every 3k or twice a year whichever comes 1st
I'll add: air filter- every 20k or once a year
check tire air pressure once a month, rotate tires for even wear (every 5k miles) Can I buy your well maintained car when u r ready to sell it?
