ON THE 3.8 ENGINE YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE FUEL INJECTOR COVER TO ACCESS THE RIGHT REAR PLUGS AND WIRES.

Try a lubricant.Let it soak thoroughly.Use a vise grip to gently lock the metal heat protectors, use another vise grip to clasp the spark plug wire and turn back and forth until freed

Get a small magnetic to reach inside the case. See if any more metal comes out. If not, fill it. Listen for noise as driving. Excessive noise or vibration, replace it. Fix the leak also

96 Z71 new coil,ignition modual,plugs,wires,cap&rotor,spark from coil,no spark at plugs

Hello: Remove the distributor cap. Check the rotor, see if there is a black spot where the metal piece makes contact with the carbon stick out tha makes contact with the coil. Did you replace that piece when you replaced the coil, it should have come with the new coil? Also did you reinstall the ground strap that was under the coil and went to the stick-out that the black connector plugs into the cap?

Engine rotates but will not start

You will need someone to help you do this test: Pull ONE spark plug lead from the easiest spark plug to get to. With a screw driver insert the screw driver's shaft up into the sp lead boot. Hold the exposed metalic part of the screwdriver's shaft close to a chasis ground. ( don't be holding on in anyway to exposed metal shaft. Hold it by its insulating handle. Have someone turn the engine over for a few revolutions if you don't get a spark juping to ground then replace the plug lead.
Open the oil filler cap and look down with a flash light and turn the engine. You should see the valves or rockers moving. If you don't ether get tha spark from the first test nor themovement from the second test, your timing belt has failed. Not a fun job to change.

My suv wont start, there seems to be no problem with tha fuses or anything else. no prob. with the starter, no prob with battery, it has gasoline. I really don't know hat it is.

From what you say the engine must be turning over at a normal speed. You need three things to start: fuel, spark, and compression. Check for fuel by removing a plug after trying to start and smell it for gasoline. Test for spark by leaving the plug removed and reattaching the spark plug wire and pressing its ground electrode to a metal ground. Insulate your contact with the plug and then have an assistant crank the engine while you look for a spark at the plug.

Low Beam Ligths on 2004 Chevrolet Trail Blazer not Working

Check fuses & bulbs first, The headlight bulbs may be twin filiment type in which case the lower filliment may be blown & the upper filliment or highbeam will still work in this case replace your bulbs. But these models are renowned for having negative earthing problems. Follow the negative (-) or black lead from the battery to the point it is bolted to the vehicle. make sure there is good metal on metal contact with the negative lead & the vehicle. Then check the negative that comes out of the lowbeam headlight socket insure clean metal on metal contact. If you still cant find a fault, contact a chevy technician.
