Question about 1989 Ford Mustang
I got a 89 mustang 5.0 it turns on fine in the morning, but when you drive it for like 5 minutes the rpms drop down but the car stays alive, then another 2 minutes of driving and the car completely dies out, you can gear the IAC, fuel pump relay, fuel pump, and a relay that is underneath the MAF sensor (not sure what it is for) then when you try to start it it cranks but no start, i have fuel and spark, but still no start. when it coola down after a few minutes it starts right up until it hits operating temperature. PLEASE HELP ME!!!! ANY IDEAS WOULD BE GREAT! Thanks-drew
Sounds like fuel vapor lock. The fuel gets hot and changes from liquid to gas before entering the cylinders.
Look for metal fuel line bent and touching hot engine part, or no longer in its clamp. You might also insulate the fuel line with pipe insulation from Lowe's or Home Depot.
