I have a badly damaged front break disk on a Colt Clubcab 4x4 2.8TDi 2008 model.

I tried to repair mine and it cost me more as I had to get a tow in and have my mechanic repair it. if you don't know what you are doing don't touch it. I could repair the older cars but not now.

I changed the starter on my 1995 tahoe 4x4 and when i go to crank it thr big ignation b fuse under hood keeps blowing the 50 amp but the wires are not touching on starter?

If something is prevengine the starter from spinning, it will blow the fuse.
Check your mechanical alignment.
Good luck.

I have a 93 ford 250 7.3 deisel standard with a manual 4x4 and it wants to keep jumping from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive and the 4x4 shifter doesn't want to push down into nuteral

Check out or 4x4Owners Blog. It sounds like the actuator inside the transfer case is stuck.

If this is the Vacuum shift setup, the plunger inside the 4x4 box is sticking. You also could have low vacuum pressure from a bad Vacuum pump on the engine.

The Electric setups worked differently. The voltage running to the underside wires to the shift solenoid had set values to extend and retract the solenoid plunger. Often, a burned out light in the inside Selector switch on the dash would affect the Voltage sent to the solenoid. A silly thing like changing the indicator bulb would restore the proper voltage underneath the truck.

Remember to sequence the trans to neutral before engaging some of the transfer cases.

I hope my solution is helpful.

4x4 indicator light

I have seen this issue in some 4x4 vehicles. The issue may be that although you have moved the shift lever, because there is pressure on the axle components, the vehicle has not released the front wheels. After shifting from 4x4 to 2x4, allow the vehicle to move without torque for a few seconds, allowing the components to move into 2x4.

1995 blazer 4wheel drive not always working

on the transfer case area there should be a relay to tell it to go in to 4x4. now once you put a blazer in 4x4 and no longer need the 4x4 En-gauged you will need to put the blazer in revers and back up 10 to 15 feet to get it out of 4x4 before driving.

4x4 Light indicator stays on while moving

ether your stuck in 4x4 or your switch is. look under vehicle at the transfer case. find the shift shafts (usually toward the top) find the switch, remove the wires, then remove the switch. Take an ohm meter and touch one prob to each terminal on the switch. if no ohms push in the round ball on the switch hold it and test again. (this will probably take two people.) if you now have ohms you have a complete circuit. the switch works. We are back to your still in 4x4. or you have a short in your wiring.

4x4 and VDC problem with my 2005 Pathfinder

to get rid of 4x4.while running, put your truck in N, foot on brake and change the selector out of 4 LOW. you should get indication on your dash, no 4X4 flashimg and back into 2WD. If the VDC light is on, its linked to your ABS so check your brake fluid levels. Good Luck

1996 Yukon 4X4 Electronic Shift on Fly.

I had the same problem with the shift on the fly push-button 4x4 on my 97 Suburban. GM Shop manual indicates that it could be due to an encoder error on the actuator motor. Try pulling the transfer case fuse to reset the transfer case control module. Wait at least one minute. Re-install fuse then re-try operation. Did it last week and that saved me a trip to the dealership and extensive troubleshooting.
