Question about 1988 Dodge Ramcharger
No...the door and ignition are keyed the same, but the liftgate is not. You should have a key with a triangular head for the door/ignition and a key with a round head for the liftgate. If yu don't have a key for the lifgate, the tumbler can be removed and a new key matched up at the locksmith. If you need more info, visit Ramchargercentral.com

more than likely the lock solenoid in the driver side door is not working. it located near the latch inside the door.

it sounds as if there is a wire or the door lock actuator is bad on the back door as well as the tailgate give these websites a try www.alldatadiy.com and www.autozone.com if all fails stop by your local Jeep dealership in the parts department and they be able to print you off the pictures and diagrams you will need wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.
