This is very common to occur when these vehicles have water leaks. There is an amplifier located underneath the passenger seat which has gotten wet and shorted out.
The amplifier will need to be replaced to restore audio.
The error is actually P1400 Manufacture Controlled Auxillary Emissions Controls. I'm having that issue with my 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse right now. Not to mention the bad paint job.
