If you can hear the motor spinning and the window isn't going up or down the gears on the motor or regulator might be stripped. Some vehicles use plastic gears on the window motor making it quieter however more prone to problems like yours.

Passenger window wont roll down with either switch but motor is good and getting power

New switch for the passenger side. The drivers side switch may be wired through the passengers side switch witch will make it not work if the passengers side switch is bad. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

Need to get a wiring diagram. Buy a book and follow the wiring schematic. It should help you out majorly. Can't really work on electrical issues without one.

Hi Frito and Fion, Does the window work in any direction from either control. If it does that will mean the motor is undamaged. The most common problem is the switch. Get another, new or second hand and try fitting that. If the motor has burned out it will have to be replaced. Try the switches and if that fails we'll go through the bigger job together. the wires at the door jamb connector get brittle and crack and break, causing all manner of oddities. and it can certainly be intermittent. like your window rolls down with the door open, but does nothing if the door is closed. wires may need to be repaired or replaced with that molex style plug/connector in the door

Check to see if the wires to the windows are broke in the rubber hose from the door to the body where the door pivots.
