You probably have a failed compressor which can be diagnosed using pressure gauges and verifying compressor operation.

Is the fan suppose to come on whenever A/C is turned on? & can u install freon if the fan isn't running?

Yes, the fan should be running when the A/C is turned on. Install freon in the suction line with the compressor running. The fan may shut off after the condenser coil cools off because of a temp sensor on the condenser coil. You do not want to add too much freon, because higher suction pressures correlate to higher evaporator temperatures, which result in lower cooling performance. As long as it blows cold air, you do not need to add any more freon to the A/C system. I do not know why the spark plugs would misfire with the A/C running. There are four main causes for engine misfires. A loss of spark, an unbalanced air/fuel ratio, a faulty fuel injector and a loss of compression. It could be bad spark plugs or bad spark plug wires. A leaky fuel line, weak fuel pump, leaky or clogged fuel injector can cause misfiring. Leaky vacuum hoses, a busted exhaust valve or a blown head gasket can cause misfiring too.

1995 grand jeep cherokee won't take freon why

You do know the compressor must be running to allow the system to be charged, right ?
If the system is low you have to jumper the low pressure switch or otherwise provide power to the compressor to put new cans of freon in.
And it will only go in on the low side of the system, which should be the only side you can connect the hose to.

My 1995 gran marquis is blowing hot hot air when i turn on ac can you tell me why?

Your going to have to check that the compressor is turning the clutch (center of the pulley) get a set of A/C gauges and check for any freon in the system (static test) high pressure side should read above 200 psi, remove the low pressure cut out switch electrical connector and place a jumper wire between the two wires, this should activate the compressor, the gauges will now tell you how much freon is in the system, the high side needs to read 150 PSI to activate the cooling fans, place a temp gauge in the cener inside vent, place the fan on low, temp coming out of the vent should read around 45-50 at idle, now if you have to add freon that means you have a leak, put dye in the system, and check for leaks.

Air Conditioning don't get cool I check the freon and replace it....but still not

First, does the compressor rotate around the pulley area when the a/c is turned on?

Also, does the fan turn on at the radiator when the a/c is turned on?

Also, is the a/c blowing through the vents?

How much pressure is on the low side when the compressor is turning? It should be 25psi to 45 psi on the low side according to the gauge connected to the hose which is connected to the can of freon.

I usually recommend putting some of that arctic freeze r134a in cars. It has a leak seal and lubricant, and a special additive invented and approved by NASA that helps to cool 50% faster and more efficiently than regular r134a.

Many people experience leaks that can require 2 or 3 cans of r134a if it leaked out.

Good luck on this repair.

I just put in freon and now it wont give out cool air

Is the compressor engaging and did it engage before adding freon?
What is the pressure on the gauge for the low side? 25psi to 45 psi is normal when the engine is running and the compressor is turning.

If the compressor is not turning the pressure should read 75psi to 100psi, before the compressor starts turning.

Also, the radiator fan should go on when you engage the air conditioning by turning it up to max.

Air conditioning system takes a charge, but the

high pressure switch is kicking out on overload, replace it or you might have too much freon

Air cond. Compressor doesn't turn on Is there a separate switch?

Well yes, there is a separate switch. If the A/C system is low on freon, the low pressure switch will keep the compressor from engaging to save it from damage due to no lubrication. The freon helps with lubricating the compressor. Get you a can of 134a from the parts store and add a little to see if the compressor will come on. It should come on before one can is used. Now for the freon to be gone means you have a leak. So if the can gets you cooling, try to find the leak so you can stay cool.

I changed the air compressor and the dashboard control panel last year and it has done ok. Now the temp. fan and the compressor fan won't kick in and the air compressor won't kick in also. Checked all...

You say temp fan?If you mean the cooling fans, then the ac is out of freon most likely, the freon has to be in the system, and enough to kick the compressor on,therefore turning the cooling fan on.

Air cond. compressor doesn't turn on Is there a separate switch?

Look around the compressor or by the lines into the firewall a glass indicator this is the freon level indicator. If it is clear you may be low on freon, pssible leak. The compressor will not run with low freon.

Try turning on defrosters

2000 jimmy a/c blows hot computer controlled a/c button light was blue when working now yellow and blowing hot just charged system no change

check to see if ac compressor is turning ,if so look to see if cooling fan/fans are working if not check fuses, and cooling fan relays/if ac is turning and cooling fan/fans are working ,need to put gauges on ac system and check pressures ,if normal ,and ac low side pipe/lines/hoses are cols then it is ur actuator motor for the temp door that is not working
