Question about GMC Sierra 1500
Seems like you sealed up the mirror very well so that is probably not the entry point for the water. Verify that the drain holes on the bottom of the door are not plugged and that the weatherstrip is installed correctly and is sealing along the body properly..
I have fixed several of these where it seems like water is coming from the door but it ends up being from the cowl area. The best way to diagnose this would be to have someone run a garden hose over any suspected leak entry points while you lay on the floor with a good light and look under the dash and around the door seals.
If you look carefully you will find the leak. Once you find the leak, it should be easy to repair.

If you want to relate that with your problem, then it would be the same solution :-
Look under the hood at the rear of the engine compartment on the lower firewall on the passenger side, you should see the evaporator drain tube coming out of the firewall. I think water is going into the fresh air vent in the wiper area when it rains, but your evaporator drain is clogged so the heater/ a/c box fills up with rain water until it comes out in the floor.
The above one is the solution to all the problems relating to GMC floor leaking problems. As i have never seen mirrors leaking like this,so you would be the best one to link the solution i gave and the problem you are facing.
Let me know if need further assistance.
Hope i helped you.

THere is a seal that is probably rotten. You can use a little silicone around the top of the mirror, that should stop the leaks.

I don't think it leaking in from the mirror its self, it probably leaking from the body of the mirror. You can try this, use a clear silicone to seal it by removing the whole body mirror off the door and clear silicone it around the lips of the body or where ever you think is leaking in from. Being 99' sometime rubber then to weakened and compress from the heat. If that dont work; dont want to fiddle with it, ebay selling them for 20-40 bucks cheap some new and some used.

First check out the water pump.most probably its having the hole in it that is causing the leak.but it can also be the hole in the roof side this may also make a leak.so first check out exactly where the leak is coming.is it from front or back.on which exact side./ also when your heater core is shot it will leak on the passenger side of vehicle and your windshield will fog up most of the time . also if diver side door seal or the trunk seal gets worn the water can leak. ------------ this will help check out.thanks.please do rate the solution.thank you for using fixya.keep updated.

Usually if the leaks comes from the sides that mean that you have placed the mirrors for sometimes now and it started a gap between the body and the mirror, you need to take out the mirror and look for a silicon sealer ($2) from any auto part store) and buy a sheet of gasket (they use this to make customs cut gaskets) it cost about $3-$5 and cut to size around the mirrors as you are going to build a casket for them and then use the silicon sealer on the back and take your time as some of the sealers need time to cure before you use it, and install the mirrors back again. If the holes are big you may need to open the inside cover of the doors and use another washer with a casket to secure the mirrors…let me know how that work for you and please do not forget to rate my service so we can improve on it with your help. God bless
