Question about 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser

Open Question

My car hasn't been starting. Sometimes it does and some time I get stuck where I'm at. Then hours later it starts again. I think it might be linked to the alarm system. I've noticed that it happens after I've tried to lock or unlock the car at a distance. After I've done that it won't start. I've taken it to a shop and they couldn't figure it out.

I have a 2004 Chrysler Sebring. About a year ago after starting, it started jerking, the engine was loud and black smoke a lot of black smoke coming out of exhause, brought to mechanic opened hood an

Did any of these mechanics put a scanner on this car? There would have been codes(02 sensors, catalytic converter, map, mass air flow, and coolant sensor could have been some of them). Black smoke is too much gas/fuel. Another thing that wouldn't throw a code would be the injector/s stuck open (would result in hard starts). Since you replaced two Map sensors, I wouLd also check for power and ground at this sensor. Check the wires good, as it could be inttermitant.

Won't start twice in a row. Starts/stalls.

Have the fuel system pressure checked especially after you start and stop the engine. If the system loses pressure immediately, you have a problem with loss of residual pressure caused by a check valve or equivalent.
