Sounds like you have a capacitor problem. It could be a number of issues , but i suggest you check the alternator one first.

If you unplug the power cable to the back of the alternator and the whining goes away then replace the capacitor(usually only one bolt/screw)and you should be OK.

If not I sometimes have dissconnected the + wire from the HT coil when the car is running and the same applies, and if this works replace the capacitor or fit one if there isn't.

If none of this helps fit one to the + wires of your radio.

Please leave fair comment if I have helped you.

Thank you

SOURCE: My 97 plymouth breeze's right rear tail light went

It is most likely another faulty bulb in the turn signal circuit.
Ensure the indicator bulbs are replaced with the correct (specified) wattage rating.
Check you haven't dislodged or otherwise lost the ground connection to the rear tail light bulb sockets.

SOURCE: plymouth voyager se short in signal light switch

Replace the light switch between the steering column and the bottom of the steering wheel the harness rubs over time and rubs threw it's a common problem it will cost about $70.00 for the new switch, the steering column horn button has to come off and then unplug the harness under the dash and slide it out, it may be more than you want to handle but if you get a book at the parts store and rent a puller you will have no problem. you will have to disconnect the battery and wait 5 minutes before you work on it or you could deploy the airbag and could get hurt.First timer will take about 4 hours reading the book first before removing it. Autozone shows it for $69.00 bucks.

Radio frequently just stops broadcasting and eventually comes back on

Peggy, Is the radio actually switching off or do you just loose the radio station. If radio is shutting off, there must be a bad wire/ plug connection, loose plug, or maybe bad ground.
If loosing station, have Arial/antenna connections checked, maybe upgrade to better antenna. Some stations just do not send out a strong signal which can also cause loss of station.

IS ONLY PICKING UP STATIC RADIO SIGNAL. ALL STATIONS

Yes you have to have an antenna. Does the car not have one originally? If you changed the radio you would have unhooked a large black wire in the back of it. Or maybe it just came unplugged. Anyways without one it won't pick up ****. Good luck

My 2002 chevy malibu's radio seems to be shorting out, the radio will work fine but randomly the sound shuts off the radio still shows the radio station and even says which artist is playing but there...

I'd suggest using the balance and fade controls to cut out each speaker one by one. to possibly determine if you have shorted speaker or speaker wiring. As far as the turn signal clicking noise, the hazard switch is the actual flasher unit for the turn signals, and could be the culprit, but the most likely cause is the turn signal switch itself. It is usually caused by corrosion across the contacts, which can be cleaned out fairly easily, but more typically, the switch is just replaced

Heater core was replaced in my 1989 Oldsmobile and now the radio doesn't work right

You did not say what the exact problem was with the radio, but keep in mind the radio was probably removed to change out the heater core. If it is powering up but will not pick up any signal the antenna wire is probably not connected on the back of the radio. It just plugs in. Same problem could be if it does not come on. A plug in.

Radio display says SAFE and will not play music

You need your radio code its 4 numbers, you use your radio preset station button to change the # press the 1 station button till you put in your code then the # 2 preset station # then 3, then fourth preset. You should find your code in your service manual. when your code is in, press the + or - button on the station search, or refer to your manual. good luck

Signal indicator brake lights and fm radio

You may have an intermittent switch or possibly a shorted or broken wire. As for the radio, I'd yank it and put an after market deck in. GM radios aren't known for their quality. But, you could check the back of the radio to see if the antenna lead is plugged in securely.
Hope this helps.
