On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Pull back the weather seal and you can readjust the window mechanics. It sounds like either the cable is disconnected, or your motor may be bad.

How do I repair electric windows that get stuck going down and up on the rubber window gasket?

You can spray some lube down both sides of the tract. This will help it from sticking. Most likely though the regulator is wearing out. Watch the window as it is going up. If it tilts a little bit, it is the regulator.

I have a BMW 325i and i guess my passenger window regulator is broken or the window is just off track but the window is stuck all the way up and there is no way for me to force the window down myself....

I jus noticed the regulator assemby or the black parts that guide the window up and down is stuck. When I roll the window up and down the motor moves and that's bout it. Without it coming down I won't be abl to get the bolt to get the regulator out. This is my fisrt time doing it on my own. Please help. How do I unbolt the motor? Any manual way to put the window down?

Driver side window stuck on Nissan Maxima 2004

It is likely the window motor is wearing out and will need to be replaced. You can always try a different switch on those wires to rule out switch problem. Otherwise, the motor will have to be replaced.

Window stuck down on 1994 ford explorer

while holding the switch in the up position, bang on the middle part of the door panel, if the motor is stuck then this will usually unstick it. but if motor is running then you will need a new window regulator.

Drivers side power window dosen't work,is all the way down and won't come back up

BTW, the window seems to only get stuck down if it is taken all the way down - I've never gotten it stuck partway down. So in the summertime I try to remember not to take the driver's side window down completely, just keep it an inch or so up.
