Torque specs 2003 olds silhouette rocker arm 3.400

Here is a suggested updated torque spec for this engine's rocker arm bolts;
Rocker arms
Step one: Torque to 11 ft lbs then tighten an additional 90 degrees of bolt head rotation. Some guys don't fuss with the torque specs and just get them good and tight. Either way, be careful, as the heads are aluminum. You do not want to over tighten these bolts

Ticking noise while in drive getting worse, been told that noise coming from bell housing?

Valve Adjustment

Print
The 4.2L and 5.3L engines do not require a periodic valve lash adjustment.
The 4.3L engines are equipped with screw-in rocker arm studs with positive stop shoulders. Because the shoulders that allow the rocker arms to be tightened into proper position, no adjustments are necessary or possible. If a valvetrain problem is suspected, check that the rocker arm nuts are tightened to 18 ft. lbs. (24 Nm). When valve lash falls out of specification (valve tap is heard), replace the rocker arm, pushrod and hydraulic lifter on the offending cylinder.

Adjust rocker arms on 350 chevy small block

Back off on all the rocker arms and check to make sure you didn't bend any push rods then make sure you are starting on #1 Cylinder and readjust, when it starts you can finish the adjustment by backing off rocker arm nut till you here it TICK than tightentill TICK IS GONE. I do not have info on the fireing order for primary adjustment but you should be able to find on line complete instructions, Go to ASK.COM and ask for Chev 350 Valve Adjustment their are several to choose from and even YOUTUBE Videos on it.

Torque specs for 94 chevrolet suburban 350 rocker arm

Rockers don't get torqued. Adjust each just after the valve closes plus a bit more turning by hand. Tighten till the pushrod can just be turned with your fingers. Still the best way to do final adjustment is with the engine running....Loosen each rocker till it clatters, then turn down slowly 'till the clattering stops, then a half turn more. Keep the opposite cover on as using this method will make a mess on the ground (oil). Adjust each rocker the same way.

2002 toyota 4 cyl camry, 112000 miles on odo, emits blue smoke only on start up, uses no oil. Fix?

I would not bother. Usually this is valve guides/seals wearing out, but if that is the only problem, I would not worry about it. When it sits, the oil in the rocker arm area is leaking down into the cylinders, then when you start it, it burns off.
I would not do anything until you start using a fair bit of oil, or something breaks.

Replacing the head

assuming you have a 4.0 liter 6 cyl in the truck the answer is no, no valve adjustment is required. there should be 2 rockers held down by 1 bridge ans 2 bolts, those bolts need to be tightened to 16-26 foot pounds.

How to adjust rocker shaft on discovery td5

There are adjustment screws on the rockets according to RAVE.
The procedure is as follows:
1) Rotate the engine clockwise until No 1 injector lobe is at full lift.
2) Rotate rocker adjusting screw clockwise until the injector plunger is felt to bottom out.
3) Rotate rocket adjusting screw anti-clockwise one complete turn to give plunger the required bump clearance and tighten rocker arm adjusting screw locknut to 16Nm. Ensure the screw does not turn as the locknut is tightened.
4) Carry out the procedure for the remaining 4 rocker arms.
5) After completion of rocker arm adjustment slowly rotate engine clockwise 2 complete turns by hand to ensure that no injectors are bottoming out on their plungers.
