Question about 1998 Acura Integra Type R
When i was driving my 98 acura integra it died while driving, now the starters trying to start but the engine won't. I had just taken it to the acura dealership for an oil change, first of all they put 5 qt's in my car when it only takes 4qts, so i took a qt out, plus iv'e been using valvoline high mileage oil, they use Castrol. But any way it's funny how 2 day's after i take my car there it dies while driv'n all of a sudden.
Has the timing belt been verified OK. that would be the first thing to check. the oil would not make a difference, was the oil level really 1 qt over full, and did they charge you for 5 qts? if so I would want to talk to the service manger. the dealer, of all places ,should know how much oil their cars hold!. A lot of places charge for a flat fee for oil changes but will only fill it to the full mark. ( they arent ripping you off, just trying to make it easy so all oil changes are the same price)
