Clutch on a 1994 mazda b 2300

I need to change my clutch on a 1994 mazda b 2300 2wd. I know it's almost dead and have a complete clutch kit. I just don't have the practical know how, nor the money for a mechanic to put it in.

You need to find a shop then, most shops will not install customers parts, or if they do, no warranty, what so ever. you should, also at this time replace the clutch master cylinder. If you try this yourself I'm afarid you may either 1.hurt yourself,$$$ 2 break something$$$, 3 not get it together right and damage something $$$$$ 4.damage it and be without a truck for a week $$$ having it repiared properly will seem like a bargain if anything happens.

So a 1994 mazda mx3 with a manual tranmission. When you hit the accelerator when the car is in gear the car will rev but not actually move. We can push the car without an issue so not a brake locked up...

Colybear18,
All the indications you stated above give a clear indication that the clutches are worn completely. What is required is that you get the gear box serviced - changing the clutch disc will make the diffence you are looking for. The burnt smell you noticed was the complete failure of the clutch plate. Hope this helps.... Do have a good day.

I have a problem with shifting from one gear level to another, but clutch preasure is still high and the clutch kit was bought last year December. Could the problem be the clutch kit or the gear box?...

  • Adjust the clutch and after you adjust the clutch and still the same buy a repair kit and make sure the repair kid you will buy is genuine.
  • If you have questions feel free to reply to this solution.
