92 dodge caravan i have replaced water pump, thermostat, radiator & hoses and its still building to much preshure, still overheating, no heat through vents. no leaks just blows a hose every time

Hi, Sounds like you need a radiator flush. If the radiator is plugged up it can not cool the engine properly. Have it cleaned out and it should work fine. Good luck.

I have a 1997 dodge grand caravan with a 3.8L I replaced the radiator cooling fan relay switch and fuses but when idling for more than 5 mins. the van starts overheating

Water pump impeller could be bad or thermostat is stuck shut. I would change thermostat first, easy to change, cost under $10.00 Water pump is hard to change in this van, you have to remove right tire, then inside wheel well, then loosen 3 top motor mount bolts which will lower engine so you can get to water pump and tensioner.

98 dodge caravan overheating...heater works..checked fans they came on later but when I drove it after it cooled down and it overheated...check engine lite came on.

About the only things are the thermostat and the water pump. There could be something with the radiator but that is the rarest because the water shoots straight through. If it overheats fairly rapid,it's most likely the thermostat.Sometimes a water pump will let you go 20-30 miles before overheat. The thermostat is cheaper and easier if you're going to try it systematically.Overheat will probably cause the check engine light too.Good luck! 2000 dodge caravan running hot

This could be from many things.

Thermostat
Low coolant
Head gasket
Temp sending unit

Most common is the thermostat, simply change and see if it worked. Second , but first before I change the thermostat make sure your coolant is full and if it is not too dirty. Also make sure the water pump is in working order. Are you getting heat? If so the pump probally is fine as it is circulating water to the heater core. When running the vehicle does it have a thick white cloud of smoke and does it smell like antifreeze, also check to see if there is water draining from the tail pipe. These are signs of a blown head gasket. Is the vehicle truly overheating or is it the sending temp unit? This can give a faulse reading to make it seem the vehicle is over heating if the sending unit is bad.

Good Luck!

My 1995 dakota is overheating, replaced water pump, thermostat, fan. What to do????

if the fan is working properly, the only thing left to check is the radiator...

i may be clogged or damaged so the water can't travel in it properly...
